Half-day Bandia reserve safari from Pointe Sarène

Absolutely brilliant experience, you get so close to the animals, the guide was extremely knowledgeable I’d highly recommend this trip and I’d go again.

1. Great value for money 2. Saw all the animals we hoped to see 3. Really enjoyed the journey to the reserve through the local towns in the morning to really see and get a flavour for Senegal 4. Get out of the all inclusive hotel and really experience Senegal!

Guide on the coach and on the safari itself were helpful and informative. It's a shame we only had a short amount of time on the safari itself and most of the time was taken getting there and back.

Just a great trip and staff

We saw all the animals we expected to see with great views from the vehicle. The guide on the coach to and from Bandia was very informative about the country's people, heritage and traditions. The guide on the safari vehicle was very informative about the animals without dominating the experience. Nice that the vehicle's engine was switched-off when viewing the animals. Reas to consider improvement are to incorporate more birds in the viewings and also to consider Electric Vehicles.

With regard to passenger safety, we were taken round the reserve in a 7.5 ton truck which was high to climb up to (we are in our late 70s with slight mobility issues). On two occasions I was struck across my cheek by overhanging thorny branches, no warnings were given. Fortunately the scratches on my face healed quickly.
