Fadiouth Seashell Island guided tour from Pointe Sarène

Bij de eerste stop voor dat we aan het schelpen eiland toe kwamen vonden wij en meerdere uit de groep dat we niet zo welkom waren . We kregen een korte niet zo vriendelijke uitleg van de vrouwen die daar hun taken deden . Nadien bezochten we het schelpen eiland en kregen een rondleiding van een gids .

We enjoyed seashell island, the cemetary island in particular, something very different, pick up and guides were great Could be good to combine Saloum Delta and Seashell island in same trip. It would work nice to see Delta in morning, then lunch and Seashell island at the same time in afternoon as it currently operates. We did both trips and it seemed as just passed Fadiouth enroute to Saloum Delta would make sense to combine the 2 places in one trip.

The bus was late leaving and we had to change as a larger bus was needed for the party. It later broke down so there was a short walk to the bridge for shell island. We had to ask where the toilets were. We were the only English people on the trip so had our local island guide all to ourselves which was fab. The island is really interesting and prettier than much of the local environment. Definitely worth a visit.
