Welcome to Gorée Island, a tropical paradise. Embark on an unforgettable excursion and dive into the rich cultural heritage of this interesting destination.

Off the coast of Senegal, in front of Dakar, Gorée was from the 15th to the 19th century the largest trading center of the African coast. In turn under Portuguese, Dutch, English and French domination. Its architecture is characterized by the contrast between the simplicity of the slave-quarters and the elegant houses of the colonials.

You'll ascend to Castel by the Baobabs alley for a panoramic view of Dakar from the Memorial of Slaves. Next, it's time to enjoy lunch on the island, and shortly after you'll visit the Senegal Historical Museum. Lastly, visit of the House of the Slave and also the church of Saint Charles.

    War eine schöne Tour. Auf der Insel Gorree hätten wir gerne 1Std. länger Aifenthalt zur freien Verfügung gehabt. Ansonsten war es ein schöner Tag. Man hat viel über Land, Leute u. Geschichte erfahren.

    Pas de rappel sur l'obligatoiriété d'emmener le passport avec soi sur le voucher de confirmation de l'excursion. Temps disponible pour les visites (maison des esclaves, musée de l'histoire et monument de la Renaissance) beaucoup trop court.
