What to expect

Get ready for two hours of art and culture with this private guided tour of Musée d'Orsay.

Firstly, you will be introduced to the fascinating history of the museum and learn about the Italian architect Gae Aulenti and how she turned an abandoned station into a museum.

You will walk where the train once ran, and admire the art from the mid-nineteenth century to 1914. You will cover realism, impressionism, post-impressionism and art-nouveau. You will discuss Delacroix, Ingres, Courbet, Daumier, Millet, Manet, Monet, Degas, Renoir, Rodin, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others.

  • Please notice: The ticket does not guarantee skip-the-line access, but access within half an hour of the scheduled time. There is currently no skip the line for private tours with less than 6 people. The wait to enter can vary depending on the day, from a few minutes to even an hour on holidays or weekends. The duration of the visit may evolve according to the waiting time, which is not predictable.
