What to expect

This is a experience unlike any other. Enjoy a hike through various types of terrain in one of Madeira's most fascinating landscapes and refresh yourself with a dip in the natural pools.

Walk along unmarked paths, from the flat terrain of the levadas to the challenging mountains, as you make your way up to the oldest mountain on the western side of the island.

Deep in the valley of the western plateau, you will be marveled at the rock pools, which have been carved over millions of years by the water as it runs towards the sea, forming magnificent waterfalls and cascades.

If you choose the summer to do this tour, be sure to bring your swimsuit and take a refreshing dip in the invigorating and crystal clear mountain waters.

It is recommended to bring: comfortable shoes and clothes, jacket or warmer garment (you can leave them in the van when the weather is warm), swimsuit in summer, water/drinks and food (some snacks for the half-day walk or lunch for the full-day walk)
