What to expect

Walk along this 5 km levada, and get the opportunity to admire the scenic landscapes of Serra da Água Valley. The levadas are canals used to bring water from the North to the South of Madeira.

This trekking, that start at Campanário area, will take you to discover the variety of the local flora and fauna, and to admire some of the most famous locations on South coast of the island, such as Encumeada, Ribeira Brava and Campanario.

During the tour you will reach a maximum elevation of 570 m and a minimum one of 510 m.

The excursion may be cancelled due to bad weather conditions or if the tour guide evaluates that the tour cannot happen due to security reasons.
